Each distinction honors a different expression of excellence — artistic, technical, emotional, and creative.

There is no single “better” award.
There is only recognition, respect, and celebration.

Category Excellence

Global Winners represent the highest level of achievement within a specific category.
These photographers are selected by the international jury for work that stands out in vision, execution, and emotional impact.

Multiple Global Winners may be awarded per category
Recognition is category-based, not ranked
This distinction reflects mastery within a photographic genre

Prize Distinctions

From among the Global Winners, the jury designates three photographers to receive special honours and prizes:

Grand Honour – Outstanding artistic achievement
Excellence Honour – Exceptional creative and technical balance
Merit Honour – Strong vision and impactful storytelling

International Recognition

The Top 10 Global distinction recognizes ten exceptional works selected by the jury across all categories.

This is a non-ranked recognition
No numerical placement (no 4th, 5th, etc.)
It represents inclusion among the most outstanding images of the year
